Why SONNE?
On the one hand, SONNE is the English acronym for
"Support Organisation for Non-formal Needed Education"
and this signifies that the focus of our activities is mainly on the provision of training for young disadvantaged persons.

On the other hand, the name SONNE (which is the german term for sun) also serves as a reminder that time and again it is the sun, a source of life and also of danger, that determines plentiful harvests leading to wealth, and droughts leading to poverty.
